Painting those last few figures is going OK. I just need to decide if these units will carry standards. On the pro-side these will look nice and the militia in the first line have some. On the con-side I don't think they were carried on the day as none were captured and the second line was deployed in woodland. If also have to create 7 speculative flags.
I'm leaning towards not using standards and painting a few extra figures to replace the standard bearers.
What I can do is use these figures to represent units of continentals in civilian clothes by having extra command stands to swap in, such as continentals at Saratoga or Carolinas continentals at Eutaw Springs.
Then again, flags do look good ... :-)
